Best Cabinet Ever?

After 5 years of governing India and when it almost got destroyed over the US Nuclear Deal, Dr. Manmohan Singh is back again to play his second innings as the Prime Minister of India. Being the only Prime Minister, after Jawaharlal Nehru, to be elected for the consecutive second term, this time he has taken over the government with more zeal and better enthusiasm. Well, I dont’t believe in supporting a particular political party, but I sure do want to take interest in knowing about people who rule our land, India.

vfg.jpgPersonally, I feel this is one of the best Cabinets we have ever had, the main reason being that this time we have youth taking over big posts. We have Sachin Pilot who at 26 years of age, became the youngest Member of Parliament in the country. So also, we have Agatha Sangma, who today is the youngest minister in the country at 28. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jitin Prasad and MP Milind Deora are the others in the youth-brigade. It was a dissapointment to me, when (the son of one of the most powerful ladies in the world), Rahul Gandhi refused to join the goverment. In a way, it further proves that he’s a careful leader and that he doesn’t just work for Power. Apart from that, it was dawn of a new age and the descent of fresh air in the Valley of Kashmir, when Omar Abdullah took oath as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. 610x.jpg

There are several others, young and old, and according to me, their strength put together will build the strongest and the most efficient cabinet ever. Now, how far this feeling comes true we need to wait and see. But just like everything else, here too not all is to cheer about. According to media reports, ministers like A. Raja were let into the Cabinet reluctantly, and the PM was not very happy with that either on the basis of their performance in the previous 5 years. Recently, A. Raja was blamed for allegedly influencing a High Court judge, after that judge himself had confessed that he fell under the influence of “a minister”. This issue was in speculation in the media for a while, but after a few days, just like other news, this one faded out too! At the moment no one bothers to find out who that minister was…
